OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONALDATE: WEDNESDAY 22ND MARCH 2017THEME: ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGE?

Memorise:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Read: Deuteronomy 28:11-13

28:11. And The LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

28:12. The LORD shall open unto thee His Good Treasure, The Heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

28:13. And The LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of The LORD Thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.
MESSAGE

A. If there is any single word that symbolises Jesus Christ, it is The Word, “CHANGE”.

1. While some changes are for good, some others have negative consequences.

2. Encountering Jesus Christ brings positive change to you.

3. Everything about Jesus spells change.

4. The moment He was born into this world, things began to change.

5. Even the old calendar was changed to reflect the years before Christ was born (BC) and the years after (AD).

6. By His Virgin Birth, He introduced change to The Rules of Childbirth.

7. This is why  “meno-pause” can become “meno-play”.

8. By The Change He brought, we have seen a 56 year-old woman testifying before the people of God with her newborn baby.

9. No wonder Jesus said God can raise children out of stones.

10. Matthew 3:9 “And do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up Children to Abraham from these stones.”

11. Are you trusting God for The Fruit of The Womb but menopause is telling you that your time is past?

12. Tell it that because your Saviour and Master, Jesus, stands for change, it cannot stand in your way.

13. Shortly, you shall celebrate with your own baby in The Name of Jesus. Amen!
B. If you are connected to Jesus, you cannot but experience glorious changes in your life.

1. Nothing that He created can stand in your way.

2. If what He created cannot stop you, how then can the evil forces and evil mechanisms that were designed by the hordes of hell stop you?  They also answer to Him!

3. Indeed, the moment He walked on water, He not only defied the law of gravity, He also made it respond to His will (Matthew 14:23-27).

4. By this act, the man who said what goes up must come down began to have problems with his postulates.

5. If you encounter Jesus, you go up and stay up.

6. This is why Deuteronomy 28:13 says, “And The LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto The Commandments of The LORD Thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:”

7. Is the law of gravity affecting your business, ministry, academics, family or spiritual life?

8. I command its downward effect to cease dragging you down from now on in The Name of Jesus. Amen!

9. From today you shall go up, and your ascent shall be unstoppable in The Name of Jesus. Amen!

10. You shall be the head and stay ahead in The Name of Jesus. Amen!

11. Ask for a definite encounter with Jesus today.

12. If you have not accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Personal Saviour, that is the best place to start.
Key Point:

If you have Jesus, you will be an agent of positive change everywhere you go. Do you reflect this change?
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Exodus 22-23

Isaiah 66:1-14

Hymn: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged—
2. Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful,

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness;

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,

Cumbered with a load of care?
3. Precious Savior, still our refuge

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

Take it to the Lord in prayer!

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

Thou wilt find a solace there.

EMMANUEL=GOD WITH US!
